monday breakfast (Giveaway)


Did you know today is National Oatmeal Day? Audrey and I had some for breakfast. I made small pot yesterday then divided it in portions for Audrey and I to eat over the next couple of days. We'll just add different toppings each day to change things up a bit. Here's some other fun oatmeal finds around the web...

    I love oatmeal, from oatmeal cookies to oatmeal in granola bars to a big warm bowl of oatmeal with honey on a cold winter morning. I never thought about using oatmeal in beauty products, but it sounds like a great idea since oatmeal would be the perfect natural exfoliator and I'd love to try these Aveeno treats!

    I've never thought of making oatmeal in larger quantities for use over several days. Do you just keep it in the fridge and warm it up when it is time to eat? I think I might have to try this.

    On another note...oatmeal lovers..try to find an overnight oatmeal recipe for the crock pot...we put cinnamon a bit of brown sugar chopped up apples and raisins in ours...sometime I even throw in walnuts as well...so good!!

    I have blended oatmeal until it is powdery and used it in bath water to soothe skin. It makes your skin very soft. I love Aveeno products and find them very effective for my skin so I would love to win.

    I love making oatmeal for breakfast during the cool winter months - so tasty with the different toppings you can add and so healthy for you too! Aveeno makes some of my favorite products, especially the washes and moisturizers that help my super dry skin like no other products can.

    I believe in the magic that is Aveeno! I'm guilty of getting away without moisturizer as often during the warmer months but as soon as the cold winds pick up, I'm done for without lots of lotion and especially moisturizer. Great giveaway!
