honey recipes to soothe your throat from the cold

A week ago.  SO very different weather.  Oh so different.

The rain in LA is coming down hard.  Really hard.  I have to get ready for work and then drive in this weather.  Tonight.   This, is really freaking me out.

My throat is itchy.  Like when you want to get a scratcher and shove it down your throat and scratch,  and my ears are hurting and I want to dig in those too.

I really should have stayed home.  But it's too late to call sick.  And nurses are like gold during days like this ( : Specially right before the Holidays.

I'm taking care of my throat naturally, thought I should share...

Honey and Red Wine Vinegar Soother

2 tablespoons 100% honey
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons red wine vinegar

Mix all and heat until warm.  Stir and take as needed.

Honey and Cayenne Pepper Throat Coater

1 tablespoon 100% pure Honey
1 cayenne pepper
juice of 1/2 lemon
4 cups of water

Place cayenne pepper in water and bring to a boil. Add lemon juice. Let sit for a while and add honey. Drink throughout the day.

I have been using the recipes above to help with throat pain and itchiness.
This tea has helped also.... (it will be in my mug  before I leave to work tonight)...

Honey Citrus Blend

1/4 cup 100% pure Honey
3 bags of green tea
1 cinnamon stick
3 cups boiling water
1 cup grapefruit juice

Place tea bags and cinnamon stick in a 1-quart tea pot.  Add boiling water, steep 3 to 5 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and tea bags.  Stir in grapefruit juice.  Add honey.

Wish me luck tonight.  I just want to have a good night ( :
I hope you have a lovely night, and stay warm
and dry.

Enjoy the recipes ( :

I'll have to come back and write down these recipes. You know I prefer anything natural.

Thanks.
