World Breastfeeding Week

In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week...

breastfeeding Art.

Last night (before bed) Audrey asked me for milk in her cup.  When we got in bed we held each other close, she fell asleep never asking to breastfeed.

This morning I awoke with Audrey asking to breastfeed.  I pulled her in close and closed my eyes, just like she did.

(sometimes we breastfeed, other days we don't)

We have been breastfeeding for 3 years and one month.

more baby led weaning

I think that's so special! I was not successful breastfeeding Jake and I was too sick to persevere. Because I couldn't do it for him; I carried this stupid guilt that It wouldn't be fair to do it for his siblings. Plus I got lazy comfortable with bottle feeding because daddy could help! Anyway, I will always have a piece of sadness and regret that I didn't fight harder to breastfeed because I know I missed out.

Sweet story. BF is such a beautiful and special bonding time for my son and I. Just the idea that it will someday come to an end saddens me greatly.

These are beautiful! I've seen some breastfeeding art I'm not so crazy about but these are perfectly feminine and soft and really sweet.
